Happy New Year Fellow Tiggers...
I haven't been around for awhile...I guess nothing to write home about...and Saddam isn't my favourite subject and all those striking go transit workers sitting on their duffs calling in sick don't concern me too much - they are just a bunch of whiners anyway...they should be happy they got a good job anyway.

I am here to celebrate the crash of the PS3...the rise of the Nintendo Wii system, great friends, reuniting with a wonderul lady who means the world to me, being more than 2/3 the way through animation and heading towards the gaming world and my work is picking up speed.

I am going to be launching my own website soon, I am on my space...just look for me (Richard Paul) - I am starting my own little label called art_mospheres - Digital Design and Animation which doesn't mean a whole lot...it just means I am going to have a whole lot more demands placed on me. I am serving my community at the local church. I do volunteer work for a community theatre group where occassionally I get to show everyone how I spread myself so thin you can see through me. Beyond that I am trying to develop superpowers secretly so I meet everyones expectations. How's that for a plan for 2007.

I want to thank the animation program co-ordinator Jim Zubkavich for Kicking my ass and inspiring me with his work "The Makeshift Miracle" - check out www.makeshiftmiracle.com- I tell you the book totally rocks in my mind. The best piece of work I have seen in a long time. Simple but endearing. You will hold it close to your heart. A coming of age story like no other. Oh and Jim Graves...damm you draw funny. lol

Anyways...thanks for anyone stopping by. Hope to post some good stuff in 2007. I think I got my enthusiasm back. Everyone...forget about negativity and naysayers and critical people..do what you love and criticism is only welcome if you learn and advance from it...remember that...

Onward

I just put this update under arts because I am currently enjoying a creative rebirth in my life. As time goes by I believe more and more that life is about re-inventing yourself. Its nice to interact with the Tig community once and a while. I like anything online I have to admit. To feel connected is important.

Tig Upheaval

Dropped by the Tig office on charles st. in Toronto and boy there seemed to be a lot of activity. The computer lab was shut down and people were scurrying too and fro. I met Nick and Jacob..and had a nice conversation with them. Seems the office is moving but who knows where. I wish the world wouldn't change so dramatically sometimes...Does anyone out there know whats going on?

The Ripple in the Pool

Well here I sit...haven't added an update for months..wonder who really cares. Of course I have not contributed much to the TIG community but I don't really know what to contribute. Been doing alot of community theatre work and helping out with Mad Pride Weekend and Psychiatric Survivor Pride Day. That's all folks.

War is Hell - re: Pearl Harbor Discussion Post

Just wondering if people would want to see other articles about how war tears our world apart and what can be gleaned from history with some personal insights by myself included. I believe we have all felt the impact of conflict in our lives and need to understand it more thoroughly. Let me know ok? Thanks.
